We think the main things to consider in a laptop during year 2013 that we would say are a compulsory minimum are:-
Windows 8 64Bit
4 or 8Gb Ram
i5 M Processor
Other specifications are personal and do not directly affect performance.
– Size of Screen (Larger is more productive but make for a larger machine that will be heavier) Average is 15.6”
– Battery Life – (Normally longer the better but you may not be using the laptop on battery much i.e. travelling and therefore may not need the extra cost associated with longer battery life)
– Solid State Hard disk (Increases performance has lower noise and uses less power therefore better battery life!)
– Case strength – (Stronger lasts longer but if you are a light user and not travelling with it much this is not normally and issue. IBM, Lenovo and Toshiba make the strongest in general.)
We hope this is helpful for our customers looking to purchase a new laptop.
